My third day observation: My first day to practise teaching

Today I was doing my practise teaching, and the subject which I have choosen for my teaching was the Community study. As a new beginner to teach infront of children I was a bit nervous to carry out this teaching practise, but luckly I gain a self confidence which motivates myself to proceed my lesson.  Firstly, I took a deep breath and start doing a short introduction of myself, and the subject that I was going to teach them. I could see that children were very happy to get to know me well as they were sitting down patiently.  After introducing myself, I begin with telling the children to sing a song entitled "when I rise up in the morning". When the song finished I took out a small green ball in my hand and start throwing it a little bit in the air, I let them imagine that the small ball is a hot potatoe, and once I give to another will pass it to another because they dont want to let it burn their hand. My second Observation taught me to become an EFFECTIVE TEACHER

The teacher was truly passionate about teaching, I learnt that she faces certain obstacles during her teaching, but she still manage to find ways to keep her students participate and obedient in class.  My second day of observation taught me about how to become an effective teacher. I cannot become an effective teacher if I don't know how to control, engage, and deal with my students. I learnt that teachers had the power of teaching in their hands, and these powers must not be use to violate or harm the rights of children in classroom. Yet the powers must be used wisely to set good atmospheres of the whole classes. It was interesting for me to eye witness the effective teaching styles used by the teacher in organizing her students .  1. She treat her students equally by letting students work in mix gender groups, consequently girls were able to find themselves equal with the boys.  2.Her lesson plan was organized and was linked to what was taught yesterday. for ...
